Chuck E Cheese

On Friday we went with Brandon, Stef and Kenny to Chuck E Cheese. We wanted to get together and do something where the kids could run around and not be pent up in the house. And boy did Megan run around. I could hardly keep track of her. She had so much fun. It was actually the first time she had been there. Ashlyn was so good. I think she enjoyed all the activity going on.
Megan and Chuck E Cheese - she wouldn't
get very close because he kept moving.
She wasn't in to the games much. She just
wanted to ride everything.

Ashlyn

I seem to post quite a few pictures of Megan and not many of Ashlyn. I think it's probably because Megan is the one that can get up and move around and be a funny little 3 year old. Ashlyn makes me smile everyday. It is so fun to see her personality develop more and more each day. She is such a happy baby and we are definitely blessed to have her in our family.

She cracks me up when she sits and plays with toys. She is always falling backwards because she can't keep her legs still. She is always moving them. She hits herself in the head at the beginning of this video and then makes a face like it was one of us that hit her. So funny.

She has finally figured out the whole bouncing thing in the exersaucer. She is so funny when she really gets going. She loves it.

Turkey Trot

On Saturday we were a part of a Turkey Trot for the Idaho Food Bank. Anyone with old cars, and even some that didn't have old cars, were able to help donate to the food bank. Each car went to 5 different KFC's and picked a card to make a hand of poker. At the end, they gave a prize to the winner. The entry fee for all of this was a turkey, $15.00 or food. All of it went to the food bank and the food bank was the last stop. We were at one of the KFC's with the cards for people to choose from. It was a long day but we had a good time.

quite sure what she is pointing at.
This was the group at the end at the food bank.
It was awesome to see the turnout we had.
I think they counted about 75 cars.

Book Club

Last night I hosted book club at my house. We had a good time discussing the book I had chosen which was Tuesdays with Morrie. Morrie sure had some good insite on life. I think I will go back through my book and highlight some of the quotes he made. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. We also ate some good food. Amy asked me to post the recipe for the dip that was with the crackers. So here it is. Enjoy!

1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 cup monterey jack cheese - grated
1 cup cheddar cheese - grated
1 4oz can of diced green chilies

Mix all ingredients together. Goes well with crackers or chips.

Pre-Thanksgiving

On Sunday we got together with the Warthen side of the family and celebrated Thanksgiving a little early. We usually don't get together with the cousins because we all have our own families, so it was really nice to be together. Thanks to Tammy for organizing the whole thing. And sorry to all of the families in Utah, Washington and Arizona - you missed some really good food!
Mom and Dad - doesn't she look incredible!
It was the first time dressed and hair and makeup
done since the surgery.
Silly Grandpa Ralph!
He decided to try on Tom's Halloween wig.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We had a really great time this year with Megan. She really got into Halloween and enjoyed the trick or treating. This year we went with our neighbors around our street and then they invited us to go to their church for some games for the kids. Megan loves Elizabeth, Natalie and Trent. We'll have to make it a tradition to go trick or treating with them every year.
