A Future Miner

Brian had just got home from visiting a mine in Denver, Colorado and all of his equipment was in the living room. So of course, Megan had to try it on. She looks like she's ready to inspect those conveyors.

Ashlyn's One Month Check Up

We went for Ashlyn's one month check up this last week and everything is great. The only question I had for the doctor was about her spitting up. She spits up so much that I was afraid that she wasn't getting enough food. Boy was I wrong. We had been at the doctors office only 2 weeks earlier and she weighed 7 lbs 10 oz. At this appointment she weighed 8 lbs 10 oz. She gained a whole pound in 2 weeks! The doctor said I had nothing to worry about and that she was getting more that enough. She's my little piggy!

My Silly Little Megan

Megan has picked up a few new sayings lately that make me laugh every time she says them. The first one she says almost every day is:

"You don't have a big belly anymore!"

Thank goodness I don't. She also goes on to tell me that she doesn't either and that her baby doll has come out of her tummy.

Almost every morning she will come out of her room and ask:

"How is Ashlyn doing?"

I love the fact that she is so concerned about her new baby sister. She loves her so much. She doesn't like it when she cries and always tries to shove the pacifer in her mouth whether Ashlyn wants it or not. When we give Ashlyn a bath, we have to remind Megan not to cry, because Ashlyn is screaming the whole time.

She is also very much a daddy's girl lately. She has some snow boots that she has renamed her "work boots". Because that is what dad calls his boots that he works in the yard with. Every time she goes outside she has to wear them, no matter what her outfit is.

We love our silly Megan and the way she makes us laugh.

My Sleepy Family

A couple of Saturday's ago I ran a few errands and left everyone at home. It was nice to be able to get out of the house. When I came home, this is what I found. The whole family, except for me, taking a nap. And then I thought, shouldn't I be the one taking the nap? And then I remembered that "nap" isn't a word that exists in my life. I do have to say they all looked pretty peaceful.
