Megan has been waiting for this day forever. She has been so excited to go to kindergarten. They have changed things up this year and she goes Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Fridays, full days. A couple of days before she got meet her teacher, Mrs. Foreman. I can't believe I have a kid old enough to go to school.
Doesn't she look so cute? You can't tell she's excited, can you.
Waiting for class to start.
Megan can be picky, so she takes a cold lunch every day. This picture was taken mid-bite so she looks unhappy, but she's not.
My mother is the best! She came to watch the younger two while I went with Megan. She brought this banner and we put it up on the front window. Megan thought it was so awesome.
Megan's birthday was August 5. I know, I'm a little late posting this. This year Megan had a party with her friends and she got to pick the theme. You would think that because she is girl she would choose princesses or something along those lines. Nope, she chose tractors. She is such a funny girl. It worked out great anyway because of all the kids that were here, there was only 1 girl. She seems to have more boy friends than girl friends.
This is my attempt at a tractor cake. I think it turned out pretty good. Megan love it.
We had a cut out for the kids to pose behind.
Brian took the kids on a number of tractor rides. I think they really enjoyed it. He told me later that on every ride at least on person either lost their cowboy hat or a flip flop.
We hid a number of farm animals in a pile of straw and the kids had to find them.
A few of the boys at the party.
Megan loves pinatas so we had to get one for the party.
And of course, cake and ice cream. Thanks to all of our friends for coming. It was a great party.
Round 2 of swimming lessons was at Lakeview Pool. This is where she took lessons last year and she enjoyed it. She did such a good job this time and even passed her level. She will be ready for Level 1 next summer. Good job Megan!
Brian and I haven't gone camping since we before we had Megan, so the girls haven't been able to experience it until Megan went with Gramma Jello and Granpa Randy. She was so excited to go and would ask about it every day. She had so much fun and wants to go again soon. Thank you so much Mom and Dad for taking her.
This video cracks me up. If you watch her closely, about every 3 turns she hits her hat.
This is on the way up. Can you tell she is excited?
Grandma Jello and Grandpa Randy
Apparently 2 juice boxes are better than 1.
This was on a little hike they took.
At Cascade Lake
She told me she didn't fall asleep on the way home. We've got proof she did.
This is Megan's second summer of swimming lessons and she absolutely loves them. This year we scheduled it so Megan and her friend Kenny could take lessons together. Megan looked forward to seeing him every day. They both did great but didn't pass so we took another class later in the summer.
Here she is ready to go.
It was kind of nice having them in a separate little pool all to themselves.
Megan and Kenny practicing their kicking. I think it was one of their favorite parts.
June 20th was our 7 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been that long already. I couldn't be happier. A wonderful husband and three beautiful girls. We have made it a tradition for Brian to take the Friday or Monday closest to our anniversary off to spend together as a family. Then Brian and I go out to dinner to end the day. This year we decided to stay close and feed the ducks at Lakeview Park. The girls love throwing popcorn to them. Of course we enjoy a little popcorn ourselves. After that we had lunch under a tree in the park and went home for naps. I think all of us took one that day.
Later that night Brian and I went to Kahootz for dinner. I really like the food there and had wonderful filletmignon. We thought we had parked in the right place, but ended up getting caught right in the middle of the Dairy Days Parade. We ended up watching most of the parade and then went miniature golfing.
The day was very relaxing and we all had a really good time.
We blessed Kalli on Memorial Day weekend. We figured it would be easier for people to travel with a long weekend. The day seemed a little crazy, so the only picture I got was of Kalli in her car seat. But you still can see her beautiful dress. We also have a crocheted blanket we use that day also.
What a beautiful little girl.
This is our attempt at a family picture. The button on my sleeve had got caught in Megan's hair so that is why she is crying. Kalli was crying and Ashlyn was just not interested in what was going on.
My brother and his family got Kalli this cute blessing bracelet. So pretty.
The title of my post says it all. I pumped for the first couple of months and every time I sat down to do it, Ashlyn and Megan thought they needed to do it to. It was too funny so I had to get it on video.
Ashlyn's birthday was actually April 15, which was only 6 days after Kalli was born. There was no way we were going to have a party with a 6 day old baby, so we waited a couple of weeks. Thank goodness she was clueless as to when her birthday really was. We had a good time with all of our family. I stole this cake idea off the back of a cake mix box. I thought it turned out pretty good. Here's Ashlyn opening the gift that we as a family got her. Megan was so excited to give it to her. It is a wheel barrow and some digging utensils. Those girls love to dig in the bag yard.
#11 Usually when I ask Ashlyn what is in mom's tummy she says "baby" but today when I asked her said "doggie". Let's hope not!
#10 The girls are always excited when Brian comes home and the other day when he came in the door Megan said to me "Mom, come see who's home - it's an exciting young man!"
#9 When I asked Megan why she didn't want to wash her hair this time, she said that washing it made her get light bulbs in her blood in her head. Huh?
#8 When I asked Megan why she didn't want to wash her hair she said "my head is lazy and my stomach is saying 'don't wash your hair, don't wash your hair'". Where does she come up with these?
#7 We were in the car the other day and someone said $3000 in there conversation. Megan then proceeded to say "1 call that's all, 2 calls-that's all, 3 calls-that's all, 4 calls-that's all.... I'm sure you get the picture. Made me laugh pretty hard.
