The Doctors

Right before bed the other day, Megan and Ashlyn decided that Dad needed a check-up. Megan got a doctor set for Christmas and has loved using it on everyone. I think it was hard for Brian not to laugh while everything was going on. I just love their imagination.
Checking his ears. Hopefully he cleaned his ears that day.
Looking at his teeth. Yep, nice and clean.

Yes, I'm a slacker

Yes, I know, I am a slacker. I can't believe I have let so much time go by between posts. I am going to get back on track and make sure I am making regular posts from now on. Brian suggested that I don't worry about a lot of the older stuff I haven't blogged yet or I will never get it done. I agreed. I may have to make a short post of at least Christmas though.

Anyway, I sat down at the computer this morning thinking I would start my catch up today and then realized Brian took the camera with him this morning, so I don't have any pictures. I promise tomorrow you will see another post with some pictures on it.

We are so excited for our new little one to join our family. I am down to the single digits on the number of weeks left. I am always induced early so I figure I've got about 6-7 weeks left. Yippee!!

We have decided on her name and it is going to be ....... Kallie Brianne Warrick. Megan and Ashlyn's middle names have family significance and we wanted to make sure that Kallie's did too. Can anyone guess where Brianne comes from? If we would have had a boy, Brian would have passed his first name down as our first boys middle name. It's something that his family does and we had planned on doing that. But we aren't going to have any boys to pass his name on to so we thought we would change it a little and pass it to Kallie. I really like it and it was all Brian's idea.

So, stayed tuned until tomorrow for more posts from the Warrick household.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Yes, that's what little girls are made of. And we will have our 3rd girl in April. Everything looked great on the ultrasound. We can't wait for her to be here. Here is a picture from the ultrasound today. I think her hand on her forehead is kind of funny. She had her hands by her face the whole time.

Skiing with the Colemans

8/1/09

Brandon and Stef invited us to go water skiing and of course we said yes. It has been since Megan was born that either of us has gone so we were excited to get the opportunity. I got right up and so did Brian. I guess it's like riding a bike, you never forget how. Megan was a little unsure about the boat ride but Ashlyn loved it.
We tried the life vests on the night before to make sure they fit. The girls wouldn't take them off. They just walked around the house that night ready for a flood.
Ashlyn really enjoyed sitting in the tube. I think she liked the slow rhythm of the waves hitting it.

Do you think she'll be ok? She was wearing water wings, a life vest and was in a tube. We figured she was the safest of us all. She loved kicking herself around in the tube.

Poor Stef was about a month away from having a baby so she didn't get to ski. This is Kenny her and Ashlyn enjoying the water. The water was the perfect temperature that day. I think Ashlyn and Megan could have stayed in it for hours. Thanks Colemans!

Megan's 4th Birthday

7/31/09

I can't believe that Megan is 4 now. Boy has time flown. She has really matured a lot this year. We love her so much and are so glad she is a part of our family. She is already talking about her birthday next year and how she will be able to go to kindergarten when she is 5. Happy Birthday Megan!
I love these two pictures because of her smiles. I see pure excitement in these silly grins. You can tell she got exactly what she wanted.

Camping with Dad

7/24/09

We haven't gone camping since we had kids, so Megan hasn't been exposed to camping much. We decided that it might be fun to have Brian and Megan camp in the back yard. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. As Brian was setting everything up, she kept asking "so, what do we do next". It was pretty funny. They had a good time, but Brian brought her in in the middle of the night because he was so uncomfortable. Maybe they'll have to use the trampoline next time.
Setting up the tent.
Can you tell she was excited?

All set for the evening.

More swimming lessons

7/20/09

Boy am I a slacker. I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. Megan also took swimming lessons at Lakeview Pool. Megan's teacher was Danielle and I absolutely loved her. Megan is a little leery of going under water. By the end of the two weeks, she had gone under a number of times. Danielle pushed her in the areas that she needed work in and I really liked that.
Here they are practicing their kicks.
Those kids never wanted to stay in the pool. It was pretty cold since the lessons were at 9:00 in the morning. Megan was a good sport. We will be back for sure next summer.
