Pottie Training - A Huge Success

This week I decided that I was going to force Megan to pottie train for fear that she would still be in diapers in kindergarten. Just joking. I knew whe would eventually get it, but I decided this was the week. I started on Wednesday and I think I can say it was a huge success. I hid all of her diapers on Tuesday night. So when she got up on Wednesday I told her we didn't have any more diapers and she would have to wear panties. She didn't fight me at all and we only had 2 accidents that day. And they were only because she didn't tell me in time, not because she didn't want to do it. The next day we only had 1 accident and today we didn't have any. We even went to the store and for ice cream and had no problems. I guess it's all in the timing for them and this was definitely the time to do it. It will be so nice to only have 1 in diapers.

A Quick Visit From Jeremy and Verlee

My brother Jeremy and his wife Verlee were making a quick trip to Utah and stopped at my parents house on the way through. Megan, Ashlyn and I went over on Tuesday morning so we could say hi. We don't get to see them very often so we had to make sure we made it over there. They live in Washington on the coast and it's about a 10-12 hour drive. And they did this trip on a motorcycle. It was so good to see them.

This is my dad holding Ashlyn. You can kind of see the start of a smile. She has started to focus in on things and really smile in the last couple of weeks. It's so much fun when you know they are smiling at you, not because they have gas.

Happy Birthday Caleb Peterson!

It was Caleb's birthday and he had a party at Parkridge Park last Friday. Megan was so excited to give him his present. She kept following him around when we first got there trying to make him take it. Brian was in Utah that weekend so it was just us girls. Thanks for a fun evening!

You can't see them very well, but all the kids are chasing bubbles. It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor party, as you can see.

Four Wheeling with Uncle Binx

Megan loves her uncle Tyler. He took Megan and Porter on rides around Craig and DeAnn's house throughout the weekend. They had such a good time. Megan was so happy to have her cousin Porter here. They are pretty funny to watch when they play together. These are some pictures from their rides.

Ashlyn's Blessing

The happy family after church on Sunday.
We blessed Ashlyn on Memorial Day weekend. We had lots of family in town and it was a lot of fun. The dress was made by my mother in law and the blanket crocheted by my mother. She looked adorable that day. Poor girl had baby acne really bad that day. Thank goodness it eventually goes away.

I've Been Tagged!

I was tagged by Alyce, so here it goes!

10 Years Ago:
I was 22 years old and single. I was living with 4 other girls in a scary part of Caldwell. I had just started working for US Bank. I worked there for about 3 years and that was too long. Never work for a big bank, too many politics involved.

My To Do List:
1. Get some sleep
2. Play with Megan
3. Get some more sleep - Ashlyn is pretty good but I miss sleeping all the way through the night
4. Scrapbook
5. Spend quality time with my girls and Brian

5 Places I've Lived:
1. Caldwell
2. Lewiston
3. Nampa
I've lived in more than 5 places, they were just in the same town. As you can see, I haven't moved very far from where I started.

5 Jobs:
1. Jack's Drive In - flipping burgers
2. Printcraft - working for my dad at his print shop
3. A law firm - I just don't remember the name
4. US Bank - Teller
5. Action Garage Door - Office Manager

What I would do if I were a billionaire:
I would make sure that all of my immediate family members were taken care of. I would build my parents a new house. My mother would love to have a single level home, so I would love to make that happen. I would probably invest a lot and have a little bit of fun. I really don't think I would live much differently than I do now. My life is good right now.

Bad habits:
1. Not cleaning the bathrooms. That's my most unfavorite place to clean.
2. Having a messing bedroom
3. Saying sorry too much. I get that from my mom.

Things I enjoy:
1. My family
2. Beautiful spring days
3. Reading
4. Waterskiing
5. Scrapbooking

Something people don't know about me:
Some people don't know that I have a half brother. My mother gave him up for adoption when he was born and we had the privilige of reuniting with him about 12 years ago. It was incredible!

So now you know a little more about me. I guess I need to tag someone else, so I tag Angie Miller and Sara Adams.
